ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Mr. Fawal served as President of the Birmingham Bar Association in 2012. He served as an Alabama State Bar Commissioner for the Tenth Judicial Circuit for 9 years and also served as a Member of the Executive Council of the Alabama State Bar Association for 2 consecutive years. He served as a Delegate to the American Bar Association for 3 years and as a Board Member of the American Bar Association Metro Bar Caucus for 3 years. He has been named Best Lawyer and Super Lawyer on repeated occasions. He was an Alabama Law Foundation Trustee for 4 years, and served as President for the Foundation for 2 years; served as a Member of the Alabama State Bar Disciplinary Commission for 7 years. He is a Member of the Atticus Finch Society, Sustaining Member of the Birmingham Bar Association and a Member of the Birmingham Inns of Court. Mr. Fawal is also a Sustaining Member of the American Bar Foundation, a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation, and is a Sustaining Fellow of the Birmingham Bar Foundation.
